Have you had a chance to experience the Panasonic DMP-BD60 Model yet? It has the same benefits as the DMP-BD35, but there isn’t much to this new innovation. Then again, it does offer the VIERA Cast add on which allows you to enjoy several different extras including weather and stocks. While this is great, it’s important to research the product as a whole and figure out if it’s for you.
In May of 2009 we will see the Video on Demand released on Amazon. During this time we will get a true testament of whether or not the VIERA Cast can live up to VOD. However, this is just one question out of several that Panasonic DMP-BD60 will be asking. This new Blu-ray will give you access to Netflix, Wi-Fi connections, and even extra space for more memory. The question is, will it be enough.
Then again, you’re looking at a system that has great performance potential for users around the world. Unfortunately, there will be some individuals searching for the latest craze and may pass on the Panasonic DMP-BD60. Can the new technological and futuristic design draw consumers closer to the product? Not likely.
When you search other products like the new Samsungs and LG models of the world, the Panasonic DMP-BD60 looks ancient. See, this model isn’t set up for futuristic detail and our sarcasm is appropriate for the situation. Let’s just say you won’t find too many sales coming from the design, but more so in the performance department. It works great, there haven’t been any “out-of-the-gate” issues, but the looks aren’t doing it any justice.
The only way to truly find out how good the Panasonic DMP-BD60 Model is, is by trying to find customer reviews. Testimonials are always important because it gives you a sense of what to expect before forking out the money for this product. While this is the biggest downfall, you will also find several others complaining about the functions that become irritating at times. This has to do with gaining entry to certain areas, then switching to others.
The biggest concern outside of the look, is the amount of space available. Many consumers aren’t happy about having to make an additional purchase in order to get the necessary space. Then of course it’s ability to playback Divx and Xvid files has become a prime conversation on just one of the reasons why you wouldn’t want to go with the Panasonic DMP-BD60 model.
The point is if you need to find content online, this Panasonic model probably isn’t your favorite choice. On the flip side of things, if you want a durable and reliable product that will last for many years to come, then it would be your choice. It’s kind of like looking at an old 1985 vehicle that isn’t flashy, but gets you from point A to point B, and has for 24 years. You could get this or a new flashy vehicle that includes a car payment, higher insurance, and many other extras.
If you don’t have a need for a player with state of the art functionality and looks and you don’t care if it’s a top of the line player, then this model will be ideal for most of your standard needs. If there are features you know of that you will just not need or use, then this essentially your kind of player.
