what do you think about all technology, cell phones, mac computers, laptops, designer clothes, purses?
Do you think our society has come contempt with nice gadgets and top of the class things? Ipods, Purses such as coach, dooney and bourke, IPhone, voyager, texting, myspace, d&c, hollister, american eagle, abercrombie and fitch etc? Do you think they have come contempt on all this stuff, people dont realize you shouldn’t be greedy, and you should donate money to charities, help make differences. Also, starving kids in africa, illness, aids. Do you think more people should help others less fortunate?
A great question/post! I think stocking up on all this “stuff” that is not needed is disgusting and yet sad. It shows people’s priorities are in materialism instead of saving lives. I think it’s also because so many people feel empty on the inside that they are trying to buy more and more stuff to fill themselves up, yet of course in the end that doesn’t work. It’s only a temporary “fix” or diversion.
We have the power and the means to significantly change lives and SAVE lives! Starting with children, they need to be taught about empathy, about the power they have, and how good it feels to give to others.
Those who are truly happy are filled up on the inside, not the outside. To fill up on the inside, reach out to others — make a difference! There are tons of ways of doing this. Here are a few sites to get people started:
