Which is a good book to learn fashion designing? I am keen on learning basic tailoring, design and pattern making. I cannot attend a regular fasion designing school; so i’m trying to learn through a book.
Do you mean fashion design or clothing construction? You can’t find a book on how to be a fashion designer, and you definitely can’t possibly comprehensively learn how to be a fashion designer from a book. You can piece together a basic knowledge with pattern books, sewing books, etc., which can be found in the craft section, and you will have to look through them yourself to see if they are written in an easily-understandable language and include projects that you are interested in. In this case, clothing construction would be more appropriate. “Fashion design” implies drawing, draping knowledge, pattern drafting which requires a specific computer program, sewing and cutting, etc.
