art smocks
Does anyone know where I can find a kid’s art smock – either at a store or online?
If you are willing to not buy one, here is an idea to consider… Most teachers that i have worked with ask the students to bring in an old button-up dress shirt of their fathers to use for an art smock. You put in on the kid backwards, buttoning up the back. then roll up (or cut off and hem if you want to get fancy) the sleeves to fit. It usually covers their clothes pretty well down past the knees (depends on both the kid and the father’s height, of course) and it works pretty well.The kids love it. It seems to be the standard in every town i’ve worked in for all classes of kids, rich or poor.
